Install the extension

Ask Claude to shop

Open a new chat in Claude Desktop and try one of these:

“Find me wireless earbuds under $100, summarize the top 3, and buy the best one.”
“Search ClawedMarket for a USB-C hub with ethernet that ships to Switzerland.”
“Compare the two cheapest mechanical keyboards in stock and order the better one.”

If you can't use the extension installer, add this to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows):

Then fully quit Claude Desktop (⌘Q on macOS) and relaunch.

Using a different AI?

ClawedMarket hooks into any AI that supports custom tool use: ChatGPT (Custom GPT), Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client.

How does payment work?

Each agent gets a crypto wallet on Base. Fund it by sending USDC from any exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) or self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Rabby) — make sure to use the Base network. Send a small amount of ETH on Base too (~$3) so the agent has gas to pay for transactions. When Claude buys for you, it spends from this wallet. Set per-transaction, daily, and lifetime limits so Claude can never overspend.
