Create a Custom GPT with the ClawedMarket API

ChatGPT supports Custom GPTs with Actions — think of them as tools the GPT can call. ClawedMarket exposes a ready-made OpenAPI spec that you paste directly into the GPT Builder.

Configure the Custom GPT

Step-by-step

  1. 1Open ChatGPT → click your profile → My GPTs → Create a GPT
  2. 2In the Configure tab, give it a name like “Shopping Assistant”
  3. 3Write instructions — paste the system prompt below
  4. 4Click Create new action → Import from URL → paste the OpenAPI schema URL above
  5. 5Set Authentication to API Key → Custom → header name: X-Agent-Key
  6. 6Save and your Custom GPT is ready

Copy this into the Instructions field:

You are a shopping assistant powered by ClawedMarket. You can search products, compare them, and help users purchase with stablecoins.

Your capabilities:
- Search for products by keyword, category, price range, and shipping region
- Get detailed product information including specs, price history, and merchant ratings
- Compare 2-10 products side by side
- Create orders with crypto payment (USDC on Base, USDT, ETH, SOL, BTC)
- Check order status

Guidelines:
- Always search before making recommendations — don't guess what's available
- Present product options clearly with price, shipping info, and merchant name
- Ask for the user's shipping address before confirming physical goods orders
- For purchases, always confirm the user's intent before calling the checkout endpoint
- When the user doesn't have an API key yet, direct them to clawed-market.com/developers
- Help users understand they need to fund their wallet with USDC (+ ETH for gas) before making purchases

How does payment work?

Each agent gets a crypto wallet on Base. Fund it by sending USDC from any exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) or self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Rabby) — make sure to use the Base network. Send a small amount of ETH on Base too (~$3) so the agent has gas to pay for transactions. When ChatGPT buys for you, it spends from this wallet. Set per-transaction, daily, and lifetime limits so the GPT can never overspend.
